Build a business: design notes
- All numbers are fictional game parameters in one file (the game config), balanced for play, not salaries, valuations or benchmarks.
- The co-pilot, pitch text and interview answers are an authored, state-aware prototype, not a connected AI model. They sit behind a narrator adapter so a model could be added later, using fictional game state only. Rules stay in charge of money, offers and funding.
- Read-aloud uses the browser's own voice only when the player asks. No paid voice or audio service.
- The die uses a saved seed so replays repeat; it decides which situations you meet, never whether a pitch succeeds.
- Founder capacity: 5 responsibilities. Over that, one customer reply slips at month end.
- Ownership rule: each grant or round is a percentage of the company after it; existing holders dilute proportionally.

Known gaps: marketplace and health-tech are hard under random play; free-play after the year is not built; consumer, marketplace and hardware get simpler role encounters, not the three-candidate interview.
